A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH...

Flushing Meadows was the place to be yesterday to witness one of the toughest rematches with Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams. All proved well for Serena however, winning  her 17th Grand Slam singles title, (one less than Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova).
It definitely appeared she worked for this one and Azarenka wouldn't giving anything away for free. And it wasn't only Azarenka she was competing against, but the strong winds as well!

Although Azarenka's physical appearance looks more "slight" than Williams, she hit most of those 126 mph hits from Williams with precision. (They must look like targeted stealth missles coming towards you!)

As I shot my first US Open ever, (so much fun!) I couldn't help but think of how in a single frame, it looked something out of the ABT or Cirque de Soleil. The leaps, the skirts and the angles looked like ballerinas being tossed in the air...(Ok maybe not as graceful, but you get the point! LOL)

It was also a who's who of celebrities like Ricky Martin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick, Bill Clinton and the one and only Anna Wintour, (good thing Miley wasn't there, Anna may have gotten her booted out of the stadium!)

Serena didn't disappoint with her peek a boo skirt, her individually placed curls and of course her perfectly matching nail polish!
